Channels, Partnerships, Purpose

We believe in the radical convergence of content and purpose. By creating rich and empowering media vehicles, in concert with dynamic and proprietary channels, curriculum and pro-social programs we can ignite meaningful discourse and change.
Our content and partnerships are not meant to be used simply as talismans for tolerance but as platforms that are truly transformative. We’re crafting programs that will speak to a wide range of consumers -- not just of different communities, but also of different ages.
From media-ravenous teens to heritage-seeking boomers, our content will thrive in the most diverse and relevant environments ranging from film festivals to army barracks. From multiplexes to correctional facilities and from grade schools to churches.

In-School Program

The Black List is collaborating with Scholastic to create a truly empowering and interactive in-school program engaging nearly 10 million students, grades 3-8, and promoting the diversity message of The Black List and the unifying practice of Storytelling.
The centerpiece of the program will be a Middle School Boxed Teacher Kit that will reach nearly every Grade 6-8 English teacher in Scholastic’s database.
A robust in-school boxed kit will provide teachers with a dynamic teacher tutorial, a beautiful classroom poster, individual student mini-magazines, a DVD of inspiring multi-cultural icons telling their own stories, and a portable video camera that allows students to capture and share their own stories. Students will be invited to upload their videos to scholastic.com.
These stories will be collected, curated, shared and rated online. Participants will be encouraged to vote for their favorite stories. Individual finalists and schools will become eligible to receive scholarships, grants, library funds and more.
